Short answer: yes. Hard Rock Bet, run by the Seminole Tribe, is the only legal online sportsbook in Florida, and you must be 21+ to use it.

How Florida got here - May 2021: The Florida Legislature approved a 30-year gaming compact giving the Seminole Tribe exclusive rights to sports betting. - November 2021: A federal judge ruled the compact invalid and the app shut down. - June 2023: A federal appeals court in D.C. reversed that ruling. - December 2023: Hard Rock Bet relaunched statewide online and at Seminole casinos. - June 17, 2024: The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the challenge. - October 2024: The Seminole Tribe and the main challenger (West Flagler Associates) settled, ending the litigation.

How it works - Bets placed anywhere in Florida are routed to servers on tribal land (the "hub-and-spoke" model). - DraftKings, FanDuel and other commercial brands cannot launch a state-regulated sportsbook in Florida under the compact.

What's still not legal - State-licensed online casino games (slots, digital table games). The compact covers sports betting and in-person casino games, not online casino.

Florida members: how has Hard Rock Bet been for you on odds, payouts and promos? Do you think Florida will ever open up to more sportsbooks, or is the Seminole exclusivity here for the full 30 years?
