A teaser is a parlay where you move the point spread (or total) in your favor on every leg, usually by 6, 6.5 or 7 points in football. In return you get a lower payout than a regular parlay. Every leg still has to win.
Worked example (2-team, 6-point teaser):
Things to watch: - Teaser pricing differs a lot between books, so shop it - Moving through 0 or other numbers doesn't help nearly as much - Ties or pushes on a leg are handled differently by different books. Check the house rules - Teasers are less common in sports where key numbers don't matter much
Do you tease NFL games? Do you stick to the classic key-number teasers, or tease totals too?

Worked example (2-team, 6-point teaser):
- Original lines: Team A -8.5, Team B +1.5
- Teased 6 points: Team A -2.5 and Team B +7.5
- Team A wins by 3+ and Team B loses by 7 or less (or wins) → you cash
- Payouts vary by book. A 2-team, 6-point teaser is often priced somewhere around -110 to -130. At -120, a $120 bet wins $100
- Favorites from -7.5 to -8.5 teased down to -1.5 to -2.5
- Underdogs from +1.5 to +2.5 teased up to +7.5 to +8.5
