Free agency opened on November 2 (players became free agents on October 29), so the hot stove is officially lit. This thread is for tracking moves that matter to bettors: World Series futures, division and pennant odds, win totals, and award markets.

The big wrinkle this winter

The collective bargaining agreement expires December 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET. If there's a lockout, free agency and trades would freeze, much like in 2021. Expect a possible rush of signings before then, or a long quiet spell after.

How to post here
  • Confirmed moves only in the headline: link the official team announcement or a reputable report. Mark rumors clearly as [Rumor].
  • Explain the betting angle: which market moves, and is the adjustment too big or too small?
  • Note where you saw a price change, and the date.
Questions to get us started
  • Which free agent would move a team's World Series price the most?
  • Do starting pitchers or everyday bats shift win totals more?
  • Do you bet win totals early, or wait until rosters settle in spring training (games scheduled from February 19, 2027, depending on the labor talks)?
  • How should a possible lockout affect futures you already hold?
Which signing (or rumored signing) are you watching most closely, and how do you think it changes the markets?
